The North Caney Creek is a river north of Sulfur Springs in northern Hopkins County , in the US state of Texas , in the United States . It's located just off Interstate 30 .

Its source rises about 800 meters west of Posey . The North Caney Creek then meanders about 15 miles in a southeast direction, where it flows into the White Oak Creek (also called White Oak Bayou ) 3.2 kilometers northwest of Weaver . In its higher elevations, the flow of water is temporarily interrupted. The river runs through partly flat and meandering terrain with loamy soil or sandy loam. The vegetation lining the river consists mainly of deciduous trees, conifers and grasses. A left tributary is Little Caney Creek .
