Norwegian Ninja ( Norwegian original title: Kommandør Treholt & ninjatroppen ) is a Norwegian feature film from 2010 . The action comedy was directed by Thomas Cappelen Malling , with Mads Ousdal in the lead role .

action

The film tells the fictional story of a special unit of the Norwegian army. This was designed after the model of the ninjas and is led by Arne Treholt (an allusion to the real Norwegian diplomat Arne Treholt, who was convicted of espionage in 1985). King Olav V is on friendly terms with Treholt and regularly visits the ninjas in their headquarters, which is located on an island in the Oslofjord and is protected by a "Feng Shui force field", which makes unauthorized intrusion impossible through "targeted disharmony".
The great opponent of the ninjas is a special unit of the CIA called " Stay Behind " under the leadership of Otto Meyer, which operates a " strategy of tension ": It commits several terrorist attacks in Europe in order to then pass them on to the communists and thus the "stupid" To get people to vote for the "right" party.

The young ninja Humla ( Norwegian. Hummel ) is Treholt's favorite student and it is suggested early on in the film that Humla will play a special role in the ninjas' plans. Shortly before a special operation begins, Humla finishes his training and is promoted to a full member of the ninja.

In their first attack, Stay Behind plans to blow up an oil rig. The ninja try to prevent this, but Humla can no longer defuse the bomb in time. The second attack is directed against the headquarters of the ninjas themselves, as Meyer wants to get his opponent Treholt to leave the country. Treholt himself is said to be arrested at the airport and sentenced to twenty years in prison on the basis of falsified evidence.

Humla is seriously injured in the attack on the ninja headquarters. Treholt takes him to Oslo-Fornebu Airport , disguises him and gives him a flight ticket in his name with which Humla is supposed to get to safety. Treholt's plan works and Humla is arrested for being believed to be Treholt.

Treholt can now act undisturbed, as his opponents believe that they have eliminated him. In this way he can prevent the third attack planned by Meyer, which was directed against the Norwegian king, and finally crush Stay Behind.
