Nothingface was an American alternative metal - band that in 1995 Washington, DC was founded.

Band history

After releasing some demos on their own from 1994, the albums Pacifier and An Audio Guide to Everyday Atrovity followed in 1997 and 1998 on the independent label DCide. By concluding a contract with the major label TVT Records, Nothingface was able to achieve success with a wider audience in 2000 with the release of the album Violence . After some line-up changes, the album Skeletons was also released in 2003 on TVT Records. In 2009 the album Nothingface , which had already been released in 1995, was released again in a revised version .

Nothingface toured with many different bands over the years, including Anthrax , Helmet , Ministry , Pantera , Sepultura and System of a Down , and took part in the famous rock and metal festival Ozzfest .

On April 15, 2017, the singer Matt Holt died at the age of 39 of complications from a degenerative disease.

Nothingface combined elements of different genres in their music , for example from metal , hard rock , punk rock as well as hardcore punk and grunge . The variety of the band can be classified as Alternative Metal due to these diverse influences .
