The novelty markets GmbH (proper spelling: NOVUM ) is a Founded in 1991, retail chain for Erotic products based in East Westphalia Bielefeld .
history
In 1990 Lothar Schwier sold radios and televisions. In 1991 he converted his electronics store in Minden into an erotic store. In the beginning it had a 400 m² shop area. In 1998 he moved the company headquarters from Minden to the nearby city of Bielefeld. Since then, the company has been located on Eckendorfer Strasse in Bielefeld-Mitte .
Today Novum Markt GmbH has 23 branches across Germany. According to its own information, the branch in Osnabrück is probably the largest erotic market in Europe with 4000 m².
In Lünen , Bergkamen and Paderborn , the branches are run by franchise companies .
