Nuclear Warfare is a Baden-Württemberg thrash metal band from Stuttgart , which was founded in 2001.

history

The band was founded in late 2001. The first concerts in southern Germany followed. The band also performed with Tankard in late 2003 . In September 2004 the debut album was released under the name War Is Unleashed . The following year, the single can deposit must go! before the second album We Come in Peace was released in August 2006 . To mark the five-year existence of the band, the EP Royal Fortune was released in early 2007 , consisting of the two new songs Pirates and Conventions of Society as well as the already well-known songs Dosenpfand muss weg! , Kill and Social Terror - the latter two songs were already heard on the First Strike demo . The publication took place on May 5th at the anniversary party in Bietigheim-Bissingen . There was also a gold version of the EP, which was limited to 50 pieces. In 2008 the singer Andreas “Nucleator” Schramm left the line-up, whereupon the bassist Florian “Fritz” Bernhard also took over the vocal position. In 2010, after a record deal with MDD Records had been signed, the album God of Aggression followed, for which some texts from Schramm had been used. The next album Just Fucking Thrash was also released on MDD Records for the Brazil tour in summer 2014, which was the first overseas appearances . For the release party in October, the drummer Miriam Storz left the line-up, which was completed by the Brazilian Alexandre "Xandao" Brito, the promoter for many Brazilian bands and drummer at Andralls . At the beginning of 2017 the guitarist Christian "Pit" Mrgnthlr left the band. From August 2016 to January 2017, the next album was recorded in Papiris Studio in São Paulo , which was released in August 2017 under the name Empowered by Hate , for the third time on MDD Records. In their career, the band has held concerts in countries such as Belgium , the Netherlands , Italy , Poland , Russia and Brazil .

style

Ronny Bittner from Rock Hard wrote in his review of God of Aggression that there was "new old-school rumbling thrash" to be heard on it. The group then sounds like Kreator in early test recordings, with the vocals in particular sounding like that of a young Mille Petrozza . However, the songs lack “technical finesse”. Thomas Kupfer described the singing in a later review of Empowered by Hate as a siren-like screeching, which he described as a mixture of Petrozza and Andreas Geremia von Tankard. The group is mainly based on the Thrash Metal of the 1980s with German influences, whereby influences from punk and hardcore punk are occasionally processed. Overall, the result is unadulterated and authentic Thrash Metal.

Reini from stormbringer.at also stated in his review of the album Just Fucking Thrash that pure Thrash Metal can be heard on it, whereby the group dulls quite quickly in the medium speed range. Occasionally there are traces of punk or Iron Maiden , the vocals also have a slight punk touch. The album is an "uncompromising, hearty old-school Thrash record", but you can't compete with genre representatives like Kreator, Sodom , Destruction , Tankard, Exumer , Assassin or Living Death .
