Andralls is a Brazilian thrash metal band from São Paulo that was formed in 1998. The band was named after a building disaster that took place in São Paulo in 1972.

history

The band was formed towards the end of 1998 and consisted of singer and guitarist Alex Coelho, guitarist Denis Di Lallo, bassist Eddie C. and drummer Gustavo Pinheiro. In the beginning the band covered songs by Slayer , Sepultura , Black Sabbath and Megadeth . After the band had developed their first songs, they went to Quorum Studios in São Paulo a year later to record their debut album Massacre, Corruption, Destruction… . The recordings took place from September 1999 to August 2000. The sound carrier was self-published in 2000. Then drummer Pinheiro left the band and was replaced by Alexandre "Xandao" Brito. This was followed by appearances in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro , Brasília and Londrina, among others . In addition, the band played in September 2001 together with Judas Priest in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Then Marquee Records became aware of the band in late 2002 and signed them. In February 2003, the band then recorded the next album Force against Mind . The recordings took place in February 2003 in two studios, one in São Paulo and one in Rio de Janeiro, under the direction of Sidney Sohn Jr. from the band Thoten and Fabiano Penna from Rebaelliun and Horned God . The album was released at the end of July 2003. In Europe , the album was released by Mausoleum Records , with the sound carrier containing three bonus songs. In September 2003 the band went on tour through Brazil with Malevolent Creation . The live album Fasthrash Live 2003 followed in December 2003 . While the band was working on their third album, the group played at the Bonded by Blood Thrash Fest, which also included Exodus . She also held other Brazil appearances in August 2004 together with Exodus. In 2005, the next album, Inner Trauma , was released, with the Mausoleum release again featuring bonus songs. The album was previously recorded in August 2004 and was produced again by Sidney's son Jr. The release was followed by a tour of Brazil that included 30 performances. The band also played at the Brasil Metal Union Festival. Then the band went on a tour through South America and played in Chile , Peru and Paraguay . In 2006 she recorded a music video for the song Subhuman Worms . The first European tour followed later in the same year and the group performed at festivals in Italy , Germany , the Netherlands , Poland and Austria . In the next year, work began on the next, self-titled album. Another tour of Brazil followed. After the band went on tour with Sodom and Asesino in 2008 , they finished their work on the Andralls album . The band then signed a contract with Freemind Records , or Distro Rock Records, for the release in Brazil. While the album was released in 2009, singer and guitarist Alex Coelho left the band and was replaced by Cléber Orsioli. The release of the album was followed by a tour of Brazil that included 22 appearances. The band played together with Omen, among others . After the tour ended in November 2009, the band signed a deal with the Spanish label Xtreem Music and American Line Productions to release the album in Europe, Japan , the United States and Latin America . Then the band went on tour through Europe in 2009 together with Desaster and Necronomicon with performances in Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. After the band returned to their homeland, other gigs followed there. From April to June 2010 the band played in Portugal at the SWR Barroselas Metal Fest together with Kreator , Dying Fetus and Immolation , as well as in other European countries. In September 2011 the band played another tour through Brazil and performed in 15 different cities. Then she went to the studio to record the next album. The album was released in 2012 under the name Breakneck . At the end of 2013, drummer Brito left the band.

style

According to thethrashmetalguide.com , the band fills the gap well after Sepultura's Arise . In addition to classic thrash metal, the group also bring modern elements or industrial metal influences, as can be heard on Massacre, Corruption, Destruction ... On the album you can also hear the influences of Slayer in their harder and faster creative period. The screaming vocals also reveal features from hardcore punk . Songs like No Chance to Escape sound like a mix of Thrash and Death Metal . On the album Force against Mind, the band continue to introduce modern elements. The sound carrier Inner Trauma often reminds the group of Slayer. On the self-titled album, they completely dedicated themselves to classic, aggressive and fast Thrash Metal, so that it is comparable to Slayer's Reign in Blood . Slayer and Sepultura influences can also be heard on Breakneck .
