Asesino is an American deathgrind band from Los Angeles , California that was formed in 2002.

history

The band was founded in 2002 by guitarist Dino "Asesino" Cazares and drummer Raymond "Greñudo" Herrera. Tony "Maldito" Campos joined the cast as singer and bassist . In the same year, the debut album Corridos de Muerte was released on Koolarrow Records . Then Herrera left the band and was replaced by Emilio "El Sadistico" Marquez. This was followed by appearances together with Static-X , American Head Charge and Bloodsimple in June 2005. In the same year Campos could also be heard on the album Day of the Dead by Dia de los Muertos . At the end of October a tour of California followed with Chimaira , Behemoth , Himsa and Mortiis . In 2007 the second album Cristo Satánico followed via Via Odio Records . Guests on the album were Andreas Kisser ( Sepultura ), referred to on the album as "Sepulculo", and Jamey Jasta ( Hatebreed , Kingdom of Sorrow ).

style

The band plays an aggressive mix of Death Metal and Grindcore , with some elements from Melodic Death Metal and Groove Metal being used.
