Bloodsimple is a metalcore / alternative metal band from Long Island , USA .
history
Tim Williams and Mike Kennedy from Vision of Disorder wanted to start a project first, but when it became clear that the VoD time was up, they knew that the project would become a real band. When the already experienced Nick Rowe entered, the two of them turned out to be right with their fears.
After Bloodsimple was finally discovered in 2004 by Chad Gray, the singer of Mudvayne , they stood with u. a. Bands like Stone Sour , Alice in Chains and Slayer together on stage. As a result, the band became more and more popular both in America and in Europe .
Chad Gray then signed the band to the Bullygoat label and Bloodsimple recorded their debut album, A Cruel World , which was released in 2005. There followed stage appearances with u. a. Static-X , Soulfly and Throwdown .
Before releasing their second studio album Red Harvest in 2007, they first went to England with God Forbid and Trivium and then they were on the road with Diecast and Sevendust .

For Williams the lyrics are very important, he said: " I fill it with love, I fill it with hate, I talk to people about the music. I avoid the stereotypes of writing about fucking girls or getting drunk - these are clichés. " The song Straight Hate is written very aggressively, according to Williams' statement, the song is about the Iraq war .
