Rebaelliun is a Brazilian death metal band that was founded in Porto Alegre , Rio Grande do Sul , in 1998 , separated in 2002 and has been active again since 2015.
history
The band was founded by Marcello Marzari (electric bass, vocals), Ronaldo Lima and Fabiano Penna Corrêa (both electric guitar) and Sandro Moreira (drums). After the release of a promo cassette in 1998, the band was signed by Hammerheart Records . The Dutch label released their debut album Burn the Promised Land in 1999 and Rebealliun then went on a tour of Europe . The band released an EP called Bringer of War , on which they covered a song by Morbid Angel . Subsequently, the second album called Annihilation was released, the release of which was followed by a second tour through Europe. After a few problems, the band broke up in 2002. The group announced their reunification in mid-2015. In 2016, the album The Hell's Decrees followed through Hammerheart Records .
style
Rebaelliun plays classic death metal. The fast played double bass and blast beats are characteristic . The band has been compared to other genre representatives such as Vader , Krisiun and Morbid Angel .
Further careers of the members during the dissolution
The guitarist Corrêa joined shortly afterwards the Brazilian death and black metal band Horned God , which released an album on the French label Listenable Records . A few years later he formed the band The Ordher with two members of the band Nephasth . They released the debut album Weaponize on October 23, 2007 on Unique Leader Records ; in Poland it was released on Empire Records at the end of March 2008.
The drums Moreira joined the Brazilian death metal band Mental Horror , who had previously released the two albums Proclaiming Vengeance (2001) and Abyss Of Hypocrisy (2004) on Mutilation Records (Brazil) and Displeased Records (Europe). In 2007 the third album Blemished Redemption was released via Mutilation Records (Brazil) as well as on vinyl via Animate Records ( Germany ) and Empire Records in Poland.
The singer and bassist Marzari worked at the tattoo and piercing studio Renegade Studio . It is unclear whether he continued this when he left the band prior to the 2001 release of the second album, Annihilation . He later joined the Brazilian band Abhorrence .
The whereabouts of Lohy Fabiano (e-bass / vocals on Annihilation ) and guitarist Lima is unknown.
