The OSC Vellmar (full name: Obervellmarer Sportclub Vellmar eV) is based in the north Hessian city of Vellmar . It is a registered association (eV). The members of the association are active in the following areas:

The club's flagship is the first men's soccer team, which played in the Oberliga Hessen from 2000 to 2007 . In 2007 she was relegated to the Landesliga Nord, but in the following year she made a direct return to the Hessenliga, in which she has been playing since then. The club emerged from the TuS Obervellmar, which was created in 1933 through the compulsory merger of gymnastics club and workers' sports club . The club was renamed in 1976 in "Obervellmarer Sportclub Vellmar eV" for short OSC Vellmar. The coat of arms of the association has the coat of arms as a basis, but in the club colors-blue and white (instead of white-red), with the words "OSC Vellmar" in the middle. The shield squared by blue and white is covered with a blue and white ring in mixed up colors. In 2009/10 the C-Juniors team made it to the then newly-founded C-Juniors Regional League. As a runner-up in the Hessenliga Nord 2009/10 you played in the relegation against the team of the same age from Kickers Offenbach . After a 3: 3 in the first leg in Offenbach, it was also 3: 3 in the second leg before the OSC team could only prevail on penalties. It was therefore clear that the OSC Vellmar would be allowed to compete in the new top German division for U15 teams next year. The promotion team (born in 1995/96) was this year the best in North Hesse and has never been outdone again. With Marc Stendera (Eintracht Frankfurt), Marvin Friedrich (FC Schalke 04), Niklas Künzel (FC Augsburg) and Niklas Schmidt (SV Werder Bremen) several players landed at professional clubs in the following years.
