The place is northeast of the core town Essenbach am Rohrbach and on the LA 22. Not far to the east is the district Unterröhrenbach , to the west run the B 15 and the B 15a

Not far south of the village at LA 22 in a clearing in the main part of wood is the Roman Catholic chapel Zum Herrgott auf der Wies (also known as Wieskapelle ). The small Rococo - hall building was built in 1754 and is an architectural monument .
