Spechbach-le-Haut (German Oberspechbach , Alsatian Owerspachbi ) is a former French commune in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). It belonged to the Arrondissement Altkirch , the canton Altkirch and the municipal association Secteur d'Illfurth founded in 1994 .
With effect from January 1, 2016, the municipality merged with the neighboring municipality of Spechbach-le-Bas to form the new municipality of Spechbach .
geography
Spechbach-le-Bas is located in the Sundgau , eight kilometers north of Altkirch and 13 kilometers southwest of Mulhouse .
