The Razgrad Oblast ( Bulgarian Област Разград , Turkish Razgrad ili ) is an administrative district in northeastern Bulgaria .

Administrative division

The Oblast Razgrad divided into seven communities (община) , which in turn consist of six towns and 96 villages.

population

At the 2011 census, there were 125,190 inhabitants in Razgrad Oblast. Ten years ago there were 152,417 inhabitants, which corresponds to a decrease of almost 18 percent. Of these, 50% declared themselves to be Turks , 43.0% as Bulgarians and 5% as Roma . Razgrad Oblast is one of the more Islamic regions in Bulgaria ; according to the religious denomination, 50.6% are Muslims and 39.5% are Orthodox Christians .
