Oda Jekaterina Pretzschner (born July 15, 1971 ) is a German actress .

Life

From 1990 to 1994, Oda Pretzschner completed an acting training at the University of Music and Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig . She had her first engagement in 1993/1994 at the Schauspielhaus Chemnitz. In 1995/1996 he was engaged at the Thuringian State Theater Eisenach-Rudolstadt. There she appeared in 1996 as Lady Milford in Kabale und Liebe (director: Karlheinz Liefers ). From 1997 she was a member of the ensemble at Theater Zwickau. There she played u. a. She was engaged at the Freie Magdeburger Kammerspiele (1997; as Julia in Julia and her lieutenant from Ákos Németh ), at the Schauspiel Frankfurt and from 1999 as a permanent member of the Staatsschauspiel Dresden . Oda Pretzschner played in Dresden under the direction of Michael Thalheimer (2001; as Helene in Das Fest von Thomas Vinterberg ), Klaus Dieter Kirst (1999 as Daisy in Die Nashörner, 2001 as Varja in Der Kirschgarten ) and Irmgard Lange (1999; as Magdalena in Bernarda Alba's house ). In 1999 she played Aricia in Phaedra at the Dresden State Theater . At the Staatsschauspiel Dresden she also took on the roles of Mrs. Fezziwig / Mrs. Dilber, housekeeper at Scrooge's in A Christmas Carol by Gerold Theobalt based on Charles Dickens . With the production Das Fest (director: Michael Thalheimer) she was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen with the ensemble of the Dresden State Theater .

In 2002 she moved from the Dresden State Theater to the Cologne Theater . It was seen in Cologne in productions by Thomas Bischoff and Sebastian Baumgarten . Her roles there included Desdemona in Othello (2002; directed by Ola Mafaalani ) and Elisabeth von Valois in Don Carlos (2004; directed by Marc Günther ). Further roles at the Schauspiel Köln were Sascha in Platonov (2003; director: Dušan Parizek ), Elisabeth in Glaube Liebe Hoffnung (2003; director: Torsten Fischer ) and Ann Putnam in witch hunt (2006; director: Sebastian Baumgarten).

In 2007 she played the daughter Martirio at the Schauspiel Köln in Bernarda Alba's house by Federico García Lorca in a production by Hans Neuenfels ; her partners were u. a. Elisabeth Trissenaar (Bernarda Alba) and Dagmar Sachse (Magdalena, Bernarda's daughter).

In 2006 she played Martha in the play Das Misunderstanding by Albert Camus at the Dresden State Theater . Pretzschner has worked as a freelance actress since 2007. In 2007 she appeared as Colonel of the Amazons in Penthesilea by Othmar Schoeck at the Basel Theater . Pretzschner took on almost all speaking roles in the opera and offered an “excellent” performance.

Since she started working as a freelance artist, she was and is still to be seen several times as a guest at the Dresden State Theater. In 2010 she played Judith Schevola (alternating with Christine Hoppe ) in Der Turm by Jens Groß and Armin Petras based on Uwe Tellkamp . In 2010 she also played Katja Grabowski in the play Frau Müller muss weg von Lutz Hübner . In 2013 she was at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden in Fabian . At the New Year's Concert in the Leipzig Gewandhaus with the MDR Symphony Orchestra conducted by Mario Venzago , she spoke scenes from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream in January 2009 . Oda Pretzschner also appears as a reciter and read among others in the Yenidze (2011) and in the Palais im Großer Garten (2010) as well as in 2010 as part of the KlangText event with the elole piano trio .
