Od force

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Odkraft stands for "life force of the soul". Its property is the electromagnetic composition of molecules and atoms , it makes itself felt through vibration and sound waves , which can be seen as colored light . The term is also interpreted as breath , life force and spiritual force . The power of the odd is today largely assigned to esotericism . Sometimes the designation “Od” is also assigned to the Nordic god Odin , but the Germanic designation “od”, Old Norse “óð” = “flush of mind / emotion”, clearly means the recognizable form of human life energy .

Spiritual fathers

Johannes Greber

The term life force is also used to clarify the term Odkraft, which in turn leads back to the biblical passage ( Gen 2.7  EU ), there it says: "There God the Lord formed man out of earth from the field and breathed life into him (odem) breath into the nose. So man became a living being ”. The spiritual creators of the Od assume that the origin and the primary source of the Od is God , since an infinite power emanates from him and through his breath man has become a living soul. On this basis, even if it is physically or mentally proven, the leading Od fathers move.

The partially unknown term “OD force” was first coined in 1841 by Karl von Reichenbach (1788–1869), according to him, the OD is an all-pervasive polar force similar to magnetism , which cannot be physically measured, but has many sensory processes arrange. “Reichenbach doesn't know what that is what his sensitives have discovered. But he gives it a name. He calls it "Od", after an old Germanic word for the all-pervading life force ”.

Johannes Greber (1874–1944) is considered to be the author of one of the most important works of Christian spiritualism ; He also wrote a spiritist translation of the New Testament and founded his own spiritist church. Greber stated: “Your current science has given the power flow in man the name 'Odkaft'. The Od force or life force is in and around everything that God created. Every human being, every animal, every plant, every stone, every mineral, every water, every world body, every spirit and whatever else there is has Odd power. It is not something material, but something spiritual and always connected with a spirit. It is the life force of the spirit. The spirit is therefore always the bearer of the Od power. So where there is life there is Od, and where there is Od there is spirit. Since the power of the Od is in and around everything that God created and is always connected with the spirit, it follows from this that there is a spirit in all that is created ”.

Furthermore, Walther Hinz (1906-1992), a Iranologe, linguist and university professor to call, who spoke about experiences and teachings from the spiritual world. He joined in 1960 as an expert of the spirit Christianity forth. As a member of the " Spiritual Lodge Zurich ", he wrote publications in which he commented on "New Insights into God's Creation" and on "Life after Death", as well as addressing the issues of Odkraft. From his point of view, body, soul and spirit form a whole and are sensitized by the Odkraft.

Types of Od force

Greber describes three types of od forces, these are: The "force of the spirit", which is necessary for its own existence as a spirit , the "od force of life", which enable the life , the construction and the activity of the earthly human body and that "Od the earthly body", the condensing, gross material Od-force that is intended for the body.

Physical-mental energy

The life force represents a soul-spiritual energy , it is an energy with electro-magnetic-like properties. This means that the od force is physically present, which penetrates the body, nourishes and protects it. "Their overall radiation forms a so-called 'aura' around every object, which the sensitive can see, feel or smell". The aura is understood as a radiation energy field and "flows through the earthly body in all its parts with the Od power ... It consists of the sum of all life force radiations (Od rays)"

God gives - God takes

The law of attraction , which is also represented in the Od force as a sending and retreating force, works in the “attraction towards God. That is the basis of everything. The law of attraction applies generally to everything and everyone. It applies to everything that exists. Every thought we think, every feeling we feel attracts similar or similar thoughts and feelings. It is enough that we look at something carefully. This creates thoughts and each thought evokes corresponding feelings and vibrational patterns ”. “God is the center and the driving force of the whole universe . He sent everything out, but puts everything back on ”. If he “sends everything out but also puts everything back on”, the biblical statement “The Lord gave it, he took it” ( Job 1:21  EU ) can be used. From this, the hypothetical conclusion can also be drawn that God breathes life into man with his breath (activation of breathing after birth) and he takes back the breath at the end of life (respiratory arrest with death).

The triad: body, mind and soul

Mankind has been concerned with the hereafter for more than 2000 years. This world consists predominantly of cultural traditions, metaphysical , esoteric and spiritual and teachings mix in them . In the philosophy of mind , the core issue is the mind- body problem , the question of how the mental states relate to the physical states. Hippocrates of Kos (460 - 377 BC) already emphasized that humans form a unity of soul and body and that humans are an animated body . But Plato (427 - 347 BC) tore up the unity of body and soul by assigning the soul its own "essential unity". He viewed the soul as a double being, whose unity was only an external, deceptive appearance. Hinz, on the other hand, brings soul, spirit and body together when he writes: “The Odd forces that flow through people during their earthly life and thereby make them alive are not lost. They are drawn to themselves by the spirit and soul of man and form a new unity ... The soul has retained all these experiences and now brings the memory of them into the spirit and its spiritual body, which together form a whole ”.

review

The combination of Odkraft and esotericism already generates critical attention, what exactly is Odkraft? This answer remains obscure in the fog of various perspectives - these include spiritual Christianity, metaphysics, philosophy, anthropology, religion, theology, occultism and even magic - they offer no clear and unambiguous answers. In the modern age , para- or pseudosciences developed from the natural sciences , their representatives were sometimes not taken seriously. “Two prominent representatives of a parasccientific theory of life energy were Karl Freiherr von Reichenbach (1788-1869), who spoke of the Od-force, and Wilhelm Reich (1897-1957), who derived his theory of the from Freud's libido theory Orgone developed life energy ”. When the mesmerism named by Franz Anton Mesmer (1734–1815) ebbed after around 50 years, the German industrialist and researcher Karl von Reichenbach took up the topic again and spread the life force Od, named after Odin, the Nordic father of the gods. “But it quickly became clear that Od, the ether or whatever one might call the imaginary world energy that we humans allegedly tap into, was just as unsuitable for explaining X-rays and radioactivity as it was for explaining magnetism or electricity ... Reichenbach was definitely there successful because the method achieved something. "

In her assessment of the esoteric idea of life energy (Odkraft) Claudia Knepper writes:

“The not uncommon technical use of language and the use of apparently technical energy-medical devices indicate that energy in esotericism is understood“ physically ”today (Wolf). The esoteric idea of life energy is in danger of understanding mental processes in a physically distorted way. It is important to make a precise distinction between the energy concepts of physics and esotericism. Physical propositions about energy cannot be transferred to mental phenomena. Incompatible with a Christian conception of God as a personal counterpart to man and creation is the concept of an impersonal divine primordial force that is identical with creation. The idea that man can refine his energy through spiritual and magical exercises to divine enlightenment also contradicts the Christian conception of man and his need for salvation. "
