Odoardo II Farnese

Odoardo Farnese (born August 12, 1666 in Colorno near Parma , the summer residence of the Farnese ; † September 6, 1693 ) was the son and heir of Duke Ranuccio II Farnese of Parma and Piacenza , who survived him. His mother was Isabella d'Este (1635–1666), 2nd wife of Ranuccio; she died in childbed on August 21, 1666.

Odoardo Farnese was married ( by proxy was closed the wedding in Neuburg an der Donau on April 3, 1690, in the cathedral at Parma until 17 May 1690) with Dorothea Sophie of Neuburg (born July 5, 1670, † 15th September 1748), a daughter of Elector Philipp Wilhelm . In the three years of their marriage they had two children: son Alessandro Ignazio (* December 6, 1691, † August 5, 1693) and daughter Elisabetta Farnese (* October 25, 1692, † 1766), who in 1714 was King Philip V of Spain married and brought Parma and Piacenza as dowry.

Odoardo's widow married his brother and heir Francesco Farnese on December 8, 1695 , who had succeeded his father in 1694.
