action

The film takes place in two time levels. The story begins in 2000. A boy is so enthusiastic about flying that he tries to fly with wings he made himself. When he jumps down from a mountain, he suffers an accident and can be saved thanks to modern surgery alone. When he wakes up he lies on a round bed in a very futuristic room. His father remembers an adventure he had in 1975 at the same age.

Mischa and Martin live in Prague and are close friends. You like to do handicrafts - especially with radio kits, radio and microphone. Her parents do not like this hobby because it often blows things up. Father Kraus, who works in a quarry building the motorway, brings a stone for his own rock garden after a blast.

During the night the stone suddenly starts to glow. There are strange phenomena that startle the whole neighborhood. Films that no one has played are shown on television, radio contact suddenly fails with the aircraft and is distracted from the course, colorful glass balls burst on the garden fence and the cacti in father's garden bloom in the middle of winter. Mischa is convinced that the stone comes from another planet. His father thinks this is a pipe dream. The story would never have been solved had it not been for the cat Odysseus.

During the night and the next day, the incidents are examined by a radio test vehicle. Misha's sister Katja puts the stone in the aquarium, suddenly she can understand the language of fish and makes line drawings. The next day, however, all the fish are dead. The children take the stone with them to school; but as soon as they come near a bus or car with the stone, they no longer drive.

When the children visit a natural history museum , the stone lights up again. You decide to smash the stone and find a black ball inside. In the coming night, this will become active again in Misha's room and will now begin to expand into a transparent blue energy ball and measure the room. Among other things, the cat Odysseus is scanned. The floating ball leaves the room. Outside, moths fly around inside, attracted by the light of the sphere. Later the children find the black ball outside and are picked up by the police. They do not believe the children the story, think everything is science fiction and bring them home later, which ends the story of 1975.

Back in 2000 we learned that Katja's drawings were actually star maps . The ball was cut in half, but nothing could be found. Suddenly a picture message arrives that an extraterrestrial ball is approaching in order to establish contact, so that the father immediately sets off there. Scientists examine the sphere more closely and discover moths in it, which were attracted in 1975 and have since become extinct on Earth. These events in the room also have an effect. Suddenly, the cat Odysseus appears after 25 years - without having aged. At the end the halves of the sphere unite and form the blue transparent energy ball. The boy recognizes the situation and goes inside with the cat Odysseus. The first contact with an alien presence is made.
