The protagonist Nicolas Bro wants to make a love story about himself. His friend who works as a director lends him film equipment so that he can fully record his entire life. The director advises him to really record everything Bro does. In doing so, however, he frightens his environment and alienates himself from his friends. When his friends and finally his wife Lene leave him and he moves to Berlin, Bro decides to win them back and include the whole thing in the film.
