The wild 1960s in Denmark brought businessman Simon Spies and tax lawyer Mogens Glistrup together. Spies makes millions with his travel company and Glistrup doesn't help him pay a single crown in taxes. Spies squandered the money he earned on drugs and sex parties. With his stance on tax avoidance, Glistrup becomes a prominent representative and even a politician. That goes too far for the Danish tax authorities. The tax attorney is eventually charged and betrayed by his eccentric business partner Spies.
