Oghur languages
The Oghur languages ( Bolgar-Turkish for short ) are a branch of the Turkic languages . Today it only includes the Chuvash language with around one million native speakers. Historical languages of this branch are Khazar † and Bolgarian † (Danube-Bolgarian and Volga-Bolgarian). The classification of Hunnic and Avar is controversial. However, Hyun Jin Kim suspects that both were an Oghur language.
