Oh, Weatherly is a pop-punk band from Dallas , Texas , formed in 2014 .
history
Oh, Weatherly was founded in 2014 by singer Blake Roses in Dallas , Texas . He quickly found a guitarist in Joshua Marsac and a drummer in Andrew Cope . In this constellation, the band recorded a demo tape. Shortly afterwards, another guitarist was added to the band with Dallas Matthews.
In March 2016, Oh, Weatherly was signed by the independent label We Are Triumphant Records , which released the EP Long Nights and Heavy Hearts . At that time the band had to struggle with several line-up changes, so that only singer Roses and lead guitarist Matthews from the original line-up remained. With Angel Bedoy, Beau Harris and Jackson Bailey a new rhythm guitarist , a bassist and a new drummer have been added to the group. Bailey was replaced a little later by Colton Lakey on drums.
The band also changed their record label. Oh, Weatherly signed a contract with Hopeless Records in October 2017 . The second EP Make You Bright with five titles was released via this label in 2017 . It was also Long Nights and Heavy Hearts reissued with two additional titles. In July 2018, the debut album Lips Like Oxygen , which was co-produced by Mayday Parade drummer Jake Bundrick , was finally released via Hopeless Records.
Oh, Weatherly toured the United States as the opening act for The Funeral Portrait between April 6 and April 21, 2018 , with the groups also being accompanied by Sworn In at two concerts . In October and November of the same year, the group tours the States again, this time with This Wild Life as the opening act for Mayday Parade.

Oh, Weatherly's music is clearly pop-punk . James MacKinnon from the British Kerrang! wrote on July 25, 2018 that the group provided deeper pop- like hooklines with some emotional sparks. Groups like Mayday Parade , With Confidence and Sleep on It are named as musical references . In an article in British Rock Sound , singer Jake Roses mentions Blink-182 , Pierce the Veil , Mayday Parade, Sleeping with Sirens , Taking Back Sunday and Icarus Account as musical influences.
