Oktay Yavuzarslan (born September 4, 1980 ) is a Turkish ice hockey player who was last under contract until 2012 with Büyükşehir Belediyesi Ankara SK in the Turkish Super League .

Career

Oktay Yavuzarslan began his career as an ice hockey player with the team of the Police Academy in Ankara , for which he made his debut in the Turkish Super League in the 2002/03 season . After becoming Turkish champions with the club , he moved to local rivals Başkent Yıldızları SK , for whom he - interrupted by a one-year stint at Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kağıt SK - was on the ice until 2010 in the super league. He then moved to the second Turkish league, where he played at Bogazici Paten SK . After he played the 2011/12 season at Büyükşehir Belediyesi Ankara SK again in the Super League, he ended his career.

International

For Turkey , Yavuzarslan took part in the junior division of the U20-D World Cup in 1999 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division II in 2005 and 2007 and in the World Championships in Division III in 2006 , 2008 , 2011 and 2012 . He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournament for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver .

At the U20 World Cup in 2012 , he looked after the Turkish youth as head coach in Division III.
