Olaf Duge (* 2. May 1952 in Hamburg ) is a German politician of the party Alliance 90 / The Greens Hamburg , teacher and member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life

Duge grew up in the Hamburg districts of Eilbek and Langenhorn . After graduating from high school in Schlankreye , he studied and graduated as a commercial teacher . He then taught economics, politics and mathematics at various schools in Hamburg. Until he retired in February 2018, he worked at a vocational school near the Berliner Tor .

Duge is married, has two children and lives in Hamburg-Bergstedt .

Since 1992 Duge has been a member of the then Green Alternative List Hamburg , today's Hamburg regional association of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party . He has been part of the planning committee of the Wandsbek district since 1991 and a member of the Wandsbek district assembly since 2001 . In 2004 he took over the post of parliamentary group chairman. In the Hamburg state elections in 2008 , he ran for the GAL in the Wandsbek constituency . Although he was on constituency list place 1, he did not make it into the Hamburg citizenship due to the electoral law in force in Hamburg .

In the 2011 state election , he succeeded in entering the state. Since March 7, 2011 he has been a member of the Hamburg Parliament . Duge is spokesman for the Greens parliamentary group for urban development and housing. He was also a member of the Elbphilharmonie Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry . He is a member of the Commission for Land Planning and the Commission for Urban Development as well as a member of the Low German Council of the Hamburg Citizenship.

In the 2015 mayor election , Duge won a direct mandate in his constituency and was therefore a member of the 21st Hamburg Citizenship from March 2015 . He no longer belongs to the citizenship elected in 2020.

After the 2020 general election , he received a mandate as he replaced a Senate member with a dormant mandate.
