The class G 7 steam locomotives of the Grand Ducal Oldenburg Railway were built on the model of the Prussian G 7 . The boiler, which was 2,820 mm above the upper edge of the rail, lay in a sheet metal frame and had a diameter of 1,660 mm. The vehicles were a simple control the type Heusinger equipped and a Lentz valve control.
From the Reichsbahn 13 copies were taken, and with the numbers 55 6201 to 55 6213 in the range 55.62 queued. In 1925 the machines were converted to superheated steam. At the same time, the locomotives were equipped with compressed air brakes and the maximum speed allowed was increased to 60 km / h.
