Oleg Alexandrowitsch Perepečënov ( Russian Олег Александрович Перепечёнов , scientific transliteration Oleg Aleksandrovič Perepečënov ; born September 6, 1975 in Angren , Uzbek SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian weightlifter .

Athletic career

Perepetschonow won the bronze medal at the 2004 Olympic Games. Since 2012 he was suspected of doping with this medal. On February 12, 2013 he was subsequently disqualified by the IOC and had to return the medal because doping with Clenbuterol could be proven. In 2008 he reached 5th place as the reigning European champion at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
