Olenjowo (Ukrainian Оленьово ; Russian Оленёво , Hungarian Szarvaskút or older Olenyova , Slovak Oleňovo ) is a village in Svaljava Rajon in the Ukrainian Transcarpathian Oblast , which was founded around 1500 and today has around 440 inhabitants. It is located about eight kilometers from Polyana away at the territorial road T-07-12 . The region is known for its medicinal and mineral springs; The source of the mineral water "Oleniwska" ( Оленівська ) rises in the village area .
Olenjowo is known, among other things, as a location for various minerals such as barite , calcite , cinnabar and metacinnabar , idrialin and quartz . Olenjowo is the type locality for the mineral carpathite .
On September 13, 2016, the village became part of the newly founded rural community Poljana (Полянська сільська громада / Poljanska silska hromada ), until then it belonged to the Ploske district council .
