Olga Cristea

Olga Cristea (born December 13, 1987 in Chișinău ) is a Moldovan middle -distance runner who specializes in the 800-meter distance .

Life

In 2003 she won silver at the World Youth Athletics Championships and in 2006 gold at the Junior World Championships in Beijing.

At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, she was eliminated in the preliminary stages. Four years later at the Beijing Games , she reached the semifinals. At the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, she did not get beyond the preliminary round. In July 2010, during a doping test, an increased testosterone level was found, and Cristea was banned for two years.
