Olga Igorewna Fomina ( Russian Ольга Игоревна Фомина , scientific transliteration Ol'ga Igorevna Fomina ; born April 17, 1989 in Kuibyshev , born Olga Igorewna Tschernoiwanenko ) is a Russian handball player .

Life

Fomina played from 2003 for the Russian club GK Lada Tolyatti . She won several Russian championship titles with the Lada youth teams. Later that was winger added to the squad of the women's team. In 2008 she won the Russian championship with Lada. At European level, Fomina was in the final of the EHF Champions League in 2007 and won the EHF Cup in 2012 and 2014 . In summer 2014 she joined the Macedonian association ŽRK Vardar SCBT . With Vardar she won the Macedonian Championship in 2015 and 2016 and the Macedonian Cup in 2015 and 2016. In 2016, she signed a contract with the Russian first division club GK Rostov-on-Don . With Rostov, she won the EHF Cup and the Russian championship in 2017. In the summer of 2017, she left GK Rostov-on-Don. After Fomina gave birth to a child, she started training at GK Lada Tolyatti at the beginning of 2019.

Fomina is a member of the Russian national team . With Russia, she took part in the 2010 European Handball Championship . She also took part in the 2011 Handball World Cup . In summer 2012 she took part in the Olympic Games in London . At the 2019 World Cup , she won the bronze medal with the Russian selection.
