Olimpiada Vladimirovna Ivanova ( Russian Олимпиада Владимировна Иванова , English transcription Olimpiada Ivanova ; born August 26, 1970 in Munsjuty , Chuvash ASSR , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Russian walker .

At the 1997 World Championships , she won silver in the 10 km walk. However, after she was convicted of doping , she had to return the medal and was banned for two years.

At the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton and at the 2002 European Championships in Munich , she won the gold medal in the 20 km walking discipline . At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , she won the silver medal in the 20 km walk behind Athanasia Tsoumeleka (GRE) and in front of Jane Saville (AUS).

At the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki , she improved the world record in walking over 20 km with 1:25:41 h and received a record bonus of 100,000 US dollars in addition to the gold medal.

Olimpiada Iwanowa had a competition weight of 54 kg with a height of 1.68 m.
