Oliver Schöpf (born July 18, 1990 in Bruck an der Mur ) is an Austrian football player in the position of a striker .

Career

Youth and club career

Schöpf began his active career as a football player, shortly before his sixth birthday, in 1996 in the junior division of Kapfenberger SV . There he went through all of the club's youth classes and later moved to the youth center in the city of Kapfenberg , where he was also employed for a number of years.

He made his debut as a professional football player for the second division team of Kapfenberger SV at the age of 15 years and 123 days on November 18, 2005 in the game against LASK Linz . In the championship game of the 19th round of the 2005/06 season , Schöpf was substituted on for René Gartler in the 53rd minute of the game ; the game ended after four goals from Ivica Vastić (including three goals from direct free kicks) in a 5-1 defeat of Kapfenberger. With this competitive debut for a professional team, Schöpf was one of the youngest players in Austria to be granted a professional appearance at such a young age.

In the same season, the young Styrian made another short assignment when he replaced Philipp Seebacher in midfield in the 89th minute of the 2-0 away win over SC Schwanenstadt on matchday 21 .

Since 2005, Schöpf has also played several league games for the second fighting team of Kapfenberger SV, in the fifth-class Styrian Oberliga Nord . At the end of the 2006/07 season he was with SV Kapfenberg II / Austria Kapfenberg champions of the Oberliga Nord, after the team had already taken first place in the table from the eleventh of 26 rounds. With his six goals this season, Schöpf was the team's third-best goalscorer behind Michael Rabko (12 goals) and Oliver Wohlmuth (11 goals) and was thus also one of the main people responsible for the promotion to the fourth-class Styrian regional league .

In the 2007/08 season , after almost two years of abstinence from professional football, Schöpf came again to two appearances for the Upper Styrian First League team . On the one hand, he was on the field on August 31, 2007 in a 4-1 home win over FC Gratkorn ; on the other hand, he came on May 16, 2008 in a 3-1 away win from the 84th minute again for a short deployment. With his two short appearances in the championship and first place in the table at the end of the season, Schöpf was entitled to call himself champion of the second-rate first division.

After he was not part of the Bundesliga team in the 2008/09 season and was only used in the club's amateur team, he moved up to the professional squad again at the beginning of the 2009/10 season and has since been waiting for his first appearance in the highest division in Austria. Schöpf was not used in the Kapfenberg Bundesliga team . In summer 2010 it was awarded to DSV Leoben and sold to FC Gratkorn the following summer . Schöpf has been playing for West Styrian FC Lankowitz since 2013 .
