At the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires , a total of 4 cycling competitions were held from October 7th to 17th .

There are two competitions in the field of BMX - one in freestyle and another as a race . In each case, mixed teams of both sexes but from the same nations are driven.
There are also two competitions as a combined team event . Here, divided by gender, the results of five different races are added up: road races over 20 kilometers, team time trials over 7 kilometers, criterion (most laps in a certain time) and the two mountain bike races Cross-country Eliminator (XCE) and Cross-country Short Circuit .
