The men's tennis singles at the 1896 Summer Olympics took place from April 8th to 11th. In another source, the result of the final is 6: 2, 6: 2. In total, only three results of the games are known.

In principle, the elimination system was used. However, the organizers divided the 15 participants into 4 groups in order to get four semi-finalists. According to the ancient Greek system, the draw is drawn anew after each round, which would only lead to three semi-finalists if there were an odd number of participants.
