The defending champions were Kathleen McKane and Winifred McNair . The final contested Hazel Wightman and Helen Wills against Phyllis Covell and Kathleen McKane, the Wightman and Wills in straight sets won. In the bronze medal match, Evelyn Colyer and Dorothy Shepherd-Barron won in straight sets against Marguerite Broquedis and Yvonne Bourgeois .
