The lightweight boxing competition for women (up to 60 kg) at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held from August 5th to 9th, 2012 in the Exhibition Center London . 12 female boxers took part in the Olympic premiere.

The competition was carried out in a knockout system . It started with the round of 16, which included 16 starting places. Since only 12 boxers competed, four byes were drawn. The winners made it to the quarter-finals and semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals fought for the gold medal, both losers received the bronze medal.
