The boxing competition in the men's heavyweight division (up to 91 kg) at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held from August 1st to 12th, 2012 in the Exhibition Center London . 15 boxers took part.

The competition was carried out in a knockout system . It started with the round of 16, which included 16 starting places. Since only 15 boxers qualified, one of the athletes got a bye. The winners made it to the quarter-finals and semi-finals. The winners of the semifinals competed for the gold medal, both losers received the bronze medal.

The Iranian Mazaheri received three warnings from the German referee Frank Scharmach within 56 seconds, which leads to disqualification according to the AIBA regulations . Scharmach was suspended from the association for issuing the warnings too quickly.
