Ondřej Hotárek (born January 25, 1984 in Brno , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech-Italian figure skater who starts in pair skating .

Ondřej Hotárek comes from the Czech Republic and moved to Italy in 2006 to form a team with the former individual runner Laura Magitteri . He had already had a partner in the Czech Republic, Veronika Havlíčková . However, this pair has never appeared internationally. Until 2004 he was active as an individual runner for the Czech Republic, but did not contest international championships.

Hotárek ran with Magitteri for three years. Then he switched to Stefania Berton , with whom he ran for five years. After the 2013/2014 season, he separated from Berton. He is currently starting with Valentina Marchei .

Hotárek is five times Italian champion in pair skating (once each with Magitteri and Marchei, three times with Berton). The couple Berton / Hotárek successfully competed in the 2012/2013 ISU Grand Prix series : they won a bronze medal in both appearances and just barely missed qualifying for the final . They also won bronze at the 2013 European Championships in Zagreb and thus won their first medal at an international championship. It was also the first medal for an Italian sports couple at an ISU championship. They could not build on this performance at the world championship and finished tenth overall as the sixth best European couple.

The couple started the 2013/14 season with a rather disappointing fifth place at Skate America , but only a week later they won their first victory in a Grand Prix competition at Skate Canada . The couple again narrowly missed the finals. At the European Championships, Berton / Hotárek just missed another medal in fourth place, while the Olympic Games and the World Championships finished in eleventh and ninth place respectively.
