As Operation Sunbeam continental be nuclear tests of US nuclear weapons test series Operation Dominic indicated that from July 7 to July 17, 1962 the Nevada Test Site were conducted. In the Department of Defense, the test series was called Operation Sunbeam . A total of four nuclear weapons were tested.

Various tactical nuclear warheads were tested during the operation, including the Davy Crockett . The Little Feller I surface test was a “Davy Crockett” test, and the Exercice Ivy Flats military exercise was carried out during this test . Almost 3,000 US Department of Defense employees and 1,000 soldiers took part in the exercise.

The nuclear weapons should provide information about the effects of the electromagnetic pulse . The effects of atomic bomb explosions on houses and aircraft were also tested.

Operation Dominic II was the final series of atmospheric tests on the Nevada Test Site, with all subsequent tests being conducted underground.
