Nana Opoku Agyemang-Prempeh or short Opoku Agyemang (born June 7, 1989 in Obuasi ) is a Ghanaian soccer player.

Career

society

Opoku Agyemang played from 2003 to 2005 in the youth of Ashanti Gold , in the Ashanti Gold Soccer Academy . In July 2005 he made the leap to the professional team. In January 2007 he joined the Tunisian club CS Sfax . Two years later he moved to Al-Sadd in Qatar for 2.6 million euros .

A loan deal with Al-Wahda was planned in September 2009, but this did not materialize. On February 22, 2011 he was awarded for three months to league rivals Al-Ahli SC . After completing ten league games for Al-Ahli and scoring one goal, he initially returned to Al-Sadd.

In June 2012, Agyemang's move to the Bulgarian club Levski Sofia was announced. But only after three months and a league assignment, his contract was terminated.

National team

Agyemang played for the U-17 national team of Ghana at the U-17 World Cup in Peru in 2005 , where he played three games, but was eliminated in the group stage from the competition. He was also at the start for his country at the U-20 World Cup in Egypt in 2009 . He played five games and won the tournament in the final against Brazil 4-3 on penalties.

On June 7, 2009 he played his first international match for Ghana as part of the qualification for the 2010 World Cup against Mali , where he was used from the start and substituted for Isaac Vorsah in the 88th minute . Agyemang was also part of the 23-man squad for the 2010 African Cup of Nations and was used in five games. After the team advanced to the final, they were denied a win against Egypt and had to settle for second place.
