Oro vil is a Spanish fiction film from 1941. The film, directed by Eduardo García Maroto , is a western parody and thus the first film of the genre to be produced in Spain .

criticism

“(The film) deserves no comment as it is an easily avoidable step backwards. The choice of the material was a big mistake, ” writes Fernando Méndez Leite in his Historia del cine español

Remarks

The Spanish censors had the film cut to a drama, which caused the film to lose its intention. The stunt scenes were described as "rustic".

The director had to interrupt the shooting of the film in order to work temporarily on the flagship production Raza in this role while the game director fell ill .

For Conrado San Martín it was the first film role.
