Orobayaya is a town in the Beni department in the lowlands of the South American landlocked state of Bolivia .

Orobayaya is the central location of the canton of Orobayaya and is located in the municipality of Magdalena in the province of Iténez at an altitude of 146 m near the Río Blanco , which belongs to the river system of the Río Iténez .

The climate in the Orobayaya area is characterized by a balanced temperature curve typical of the tropics with only minor fluctuations and an annual average temperature of almost 27 ° C (see Magdalena climate diagram). Orobayaya is 322 kilometers by road in a northeastern direction from Trinidad , the capital of the department.
From Trinidad, the national road Ruta 9 leads 211 kilometers in a northerly direction via San Javier and San Pedro Nuevo to San Ramón . Here a dirt road branches off to the east, which reaches the city of Magdalena after 82 kilometers and Orobayaya after another 29 kilometers in an easterly direction and continues to Bella Vista on the Río Blanco.
