Ortwin De Wolf (born April 23, 1997 ) is a Belgian football goalkeeper who has been under contract with the Belgian first division club KAS Eupen since 2019 .

Career

At the age of seven, De Wolf joined the youth of KSC Lokeren . He remained loyal to this team throughout his youth until he finally signed a three-year contract with the first team of KSC Lokeren in 2016. Initially he was the third goalkeeper on the team , behind Barry Boubacar Copa and Davino Verhulst . On May 17, 2017, he finally made his debut in a Play-off II game against KV Kortrijk . The game ended 4-4.

He was the team's first goalkeeper in the 2018/19 season, but new coach Glen De Boeck preferred to see Davino Verhulst in goal, which led to a competitive battle.

For KSC Lokeren, he played a total of 31 games, conceded 51 goals and remained clean in 7 games.

On July 20, 2019, De Wolf moved to the Belgian first division club KAS Eupen for a transfer fee of € 750,000. His former club KSC Lokeren was relegated to the 2nd division, so the transfer gave him the opportunity to continue playing in the Jupiler Pro League .

Since the departure of the former 1st goalkeeper Hendrik Van Crombrugge to RSC Anderlecht , De Wolf has been the 1st goalkeeper at KAS Eupen.

National team

Ortwin De Wolf made his debut for the Belgian U-21 national team on October 11, 2018 .
