Oskar Korsch

Oskar Ludwig Korsch (born February 2, 1831 in Mohrungen , † January 9, 1896 in Marienwerder ) was a German lawyer, conservative member of the Prussian state parliament and president of the Marienwerder Higher Regional Court .

Life

After attending the Kneiphöfisches Gymnasium in Königsberg, he studied law in Königsberg from Easter 1849 to 1852 . During his studies in 1850 he became a member of the Palmburgia Königsberg fraternity . He was a member of the army as a Landwehr officer from 1853 to 1868. In 1858 he became a court assessor. In 1859 he came to Mohrungen as a district judge. In Königsberg he was appointed city judge in 1861 and was promoted to city judge in January 1867. At the end of September 1867 he became district court director in Neidenburg and was transferred to Bartenstein in 1870 . 1869/70 came in a substitute election as a conservative member of the Prussian state parliament. On October 1, 1879, he became president of the district court in Bartenstein. Since 1882 the electors have elected him three times in a row as member of the state parliament for the constituency 9 of Königsberg. In 1887 he became president of the regional court in Insterburg . In 1892 he was honored with the title of Privy Chief Justice. In 1893 he left the House of Representatives. In 1893 he became president of the Marienwerder Higher Regional Court and died in office.

He was a Protestant Christian and was elected in provincial and general synods .

His son Martin Korsch (* 1882), lawyer and notary, was a co-conspirator on July 20, 1944 .
