Oskar von Dreßler
As a German administrative lawyer, Oskar von Dreßler (born June 1, 1838 at Gut Kobylinnen, Kr. Lyck , † August 24, 1910 in Heiligenbeil ) was the longest-serving district administrator in East Prussia.
Life
Dreßler attended the Kgl. Lyck high school and studied law at the Albertus University in Königsberg . Like many graduates from his school, he became a member of the Corps Masovia in the winter semester of 1856/57 . He entered the civil service of the Kingdom of Prussia and came to the government in Königsberg as a government assessor . On May 10, 1869 he was provisional, and in 1873 he became district administrator in the district of Heiligenbeil . He remained in the office until July 1909 when he was 71 years old. At 40, that was the longest term in office of a district administrator in East Prussia.
Honors
- Granted the character as a walk. Government Council (January 1882)
 - Awarded the Order of the Red Eagle 4th class (November 1901)
 - Red Eagle Order 2nd Class with oak leaves and with the number 50 (July 1909)
