Observation tower
On the summit of the Ossinger there has been a newly built 22 m high wooden observation and radio tower since October 2013 as well as the managed Ossingerhütte, which was extensively renovated in 2012. Ten meter high antennas from cell phone operators are installed on the tower. A wooden previous tower was last closed due to damage to the supporting structure and was originally supposed to be renovated. In the end, however, a decision was made to replace the building, which was flown in parts up the mountain using helicopters and assembled in segments. The new tower is higher than the old one and now clearly towers above the surrounding treetops.
