The Ossipee River is a right tributary of the Saco River in the US states of New Hampshire and Maine .
The Ossipee River drains the 13 km² Ossipee Lake in Carroll County in east New Hampshire. It initially flows through the small lakes Broad Bay , Leavitt Bay and Berry Bay . The Ossipee River flows for a total of 29 km in an easterly direction south of Freedom to Maine, past Porter and Cornish and finally flows into the Saco River. The New Hampshire Route 25 and Maine State Route 25 in Maine follow the course of the river. At Kezar Falls , a village in the Town of Porter, there are two weirs on the river. At the bottom there is a hydroelectric power station with an output of 1 MW. The river drains an area of 1157 km². Major tributaries of Ossipee Lake are Bearcamp River and Pine River .
