prehistory

The mayor's office in Kirchhoven was composed around 1830 as follows. The Kirchdorf Kirchhoven and the villages Entebruch, Heuchden, Leick, Lumbach, Schutdorf and Finne. There are also some farms and hamlets . All villages belonged to a mayor's office, but were in themselves separate village and living communities. On the Tranchot map from 1803 to 1820, the individual villages are clearly recognizable. Small chapels, crucifixes and wayside shrines were built in the villages as a sign of deep faith and a close togetherness . This is how this field chapel was created in Vinn.

history

The chapel was built in early 1900 and is dedicated to the Mother of God . Since 1911 the chapel has housed a statue of the Virgin Mary from Lourdes . This has been behind a pane of glass since the building was restored in 1992 . In 2012 the Madonna and the wooden cross were stolen from the chapel. The police secured the stolen property and after repairs, Kreuz and Madonna were able to return to their place in the field chapel in May 2013. The chapel association is the sponsor of the chapel.

architecture

The building is one, in sharp gables arched brick building with a gable roof . The roof is crowned by a cross on the front gable. Inside, the facility is secured by a protective grille .
