Ostluwu (Indonesian: Luwu Timur ) is a government district ( Kabupaten ) on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi . The district is part of the Sulawesi Selatan Province . 242,882 inhabitants live here (2010).
geography
East Luwu has an area of 6944.88 km². The capital is Malili . The area includes several large lakes of tectonic origin. The five largest lakes are Danau Matano (with an area of 245.70 km²), Danau Mahalona (25 km²), Danau Towuti (585 km²), Tarapang Masapi (or Danau Massapi) (2.43 km²) and Danau Lontoa (or Wawantoa) (1.71 km²).
