Ottó Vincze (born August 29, 1974 in Ózd ) is a former Hungarian football player in attacking midfield . He played for Energie Cottbus in the Bundesliga and for the Hungarian national soccer team .
Career
Vincze played at the beginning of his career at FC Sion , but came only once in the 1992/93 season . He then moved to Hungary to Vasas Budapest for two seasons . During this time he was used 37 times and scored eleven goals. He was then taken over by league rivals Ferencváros Budapest , with whom he won the championship in 1995/96 . Vincze contributed with two goals in 17 games. For Budapest he appeared in the group stage of the 1995/96 Champions League season . He played all group games and scored two goals. However, this was only enough for third place in Group D behind Ajax Amsterdam and Real Madrid . He then moved back to FC Sion, where he won the championship and the Swiss Cup in nine missions and one goal , and then to the second team of FC Barcelona , where he was only used twice in 1997. Then Vincze came back to Budapest and played there until 1999, where he completed 60 games and scored 19 goals. In 1999, SV Waldhof Mannheim signed him for the 2nd Bundesliga . There he scored nine goals in 31 games in the first season. In the second season he scored in 16 completed games. In 2001 Vincze came to FC Energie Cottbus for one season , but only made nine appearances in the 1st Bundesliga. Then he moved back to Hungary, where he joined the Zalaegerszegi TE FC . There he scored six goals in 45 games within two years. Vincze then moved to Győri ETO FC , for whom he scored another 17 goals in 58 games. After a short stay at SV St. Margarethen , he ended his career with the Hungarian third division club Biatorbagy SE .
In 1998 Vincze was substituted on twice for the Hungarian national football team. Between 1999 and 2005 he was used nine times, but scored no goal.
