Otto Braunsberger

Otto Braunsberger (born February 21, 1850 in Füssen , † March 27, 1926 in Exaten ) was a German Jesuit and historian .

Life

After Otto Braunsberger, born on February 21, 1850 in Füssen, studied in Metten , Rome and Munich , he was ordained a priest in 1874 . At the latter university he became in 1876 the doctor of theology doctorate . Two years later he entered the Jesuit order. In 1883 he began another three-year course; namely he studied history with Johannes Janssen . Braunsberger died on March 27, 1926 in Exaten in the Netherlands . His life's work consisted in researching the life of Petrus Canisius and editing his letters.
