Otto Gerlach (economist)
Otto Gerlach (born November 1, 1862 in Angerburg ; † May 13, 1923 in Königsberg i. Pr. ) Was a German economist and political scientist .
Life
Gerlach studied in Berlin and had been a member of the Corps Vandalia Berlin since 1882 . In 1885 he was at the University of Leipzig to Dr. phil. PhD . Habilitated private lecturer at the Silesian Friedrich Wilhelms University in Breslau since 1890, he became an associate professor in 1894 and in 1903 a professor at the Albertus University in Königsberg . He was the director of the Political Science Department and director of the commercial college courses . In 1913/14 he was one of the last prorectors of the Albertina . Gerlach's activity in Konigsberg brought the rural social conditions in East Prussia onto the political agenda. He was going. Government Council . A cross street off Arndtstrasse in Rathshof was named after him .
